Medicaid Eligibility

Paying for long-term care is more than most families can afford. We help you by qualifying you for Medicaid’s long-term care programs. These programs provide payments directly to your caregiver in your home or to your health care facility.  In other words, we bring in Medicaid as a new payer source, thus substantially lowering the cost of care.  We have helped hundreds of Florida families with this process.

Call our office and schedule your initial in-person or virtual consultation. We can usually show clients at least two ways to become eligible by the end of the initial consultation.

What are the Three Tests for Medicaid Eligibility?

Medical Need

The nursing home Medicaid test for medical need assesses whether an individual requires the level of care provided in a nursing facility, typically focusing on physical and mental health conditions. This evaluation helps determine eligibility for Medicaid benefits, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support for their medical needs.

Income

The Medicaid income test assesses an individual's eligibility for benefits by evaluating their income level to ensure it falls below specific thresholds established by state guidelines, which are updated annually. For personalized assistance and to discuss your specific needs, please don't hesitate to contact our office.

Assets

The Medicaid asset test assesses an individual’s countable assets to determine eligibility for benefits, ensuring that total assets remain within established limits. Certain assets, such as a primary home and personal belongings, are typically excluded from this assessment. It's important to note that these limits can change annually, especially for married individuals.
